Metamorphosis

It is almost unreal to me that I haven't written in over a year. So much has happened in the interim. So much in my life has shifted. But my truth remains the same. I've missed this space.

Writing for me has always been therapeutic but it's been difficult the past year for me to even sit with my own thoughts. In the time I've been absent I've graduated college, lost a grandmother, had some key relationships dissolve, become a teacher and a graduate student. I've been so drained emotionally that I've had very little to give to anyone else--even you. Life is pushing and pulling. But I'm realizing that I'm undergoing a metamorphosis and that gives me strength.

Change is an opportunity for growth and I welcome it. It feels good to be back.
